General Discussion
Busy since March... eh.
Lazy? Yes.
Tired? Absolutely.
But I'll get back on here and remember some stuff for the sake of reading this a year or two from now.
Does anyone else read these??
Anywho...
1. Major lifestyle changes...
I've been working, trying to make progress on my degree while pushing out this music. I feel a strong sense of guilt towards my younger self for not recording as much as what I'd like to do...
Daniel Larson Voice: This is a message for Trevor. Pearston. Please play drums on my recordings. Thank you all for the support.
After this summer I'll have my Associate's, and I'll be working towards the Bachelor's in the Fall! Not gonna Dox myself, but I work at a place where there's lots of baseball.
I also got a stupid haircut. :/
Styling myself with bandannas and sleeveless tees has been the move since the early summer... It went from 45 degrees to almost 90 within a week. I've burnt to a crisp twice.
Got to watch a Staind Concert, and see the Aquabats too! Very good stuff, as far as inspiration goes. I learned a lot about how to handle crowds of different sizes, and found my preference of smaller shows to bigger ones.
This year has been a game of finding what works for me, trying some new stuff, and embracing LOTS of crazy changes.
Part B: the Music
We had a house show that was really fun, played a new song or two...
WE WON the battle at the Cat in the Cream, and played one of the fastest sets we had ever done. That recording is available on a Disc, with the files to soon be uploaded elsewhere.
Played with some new cool bands, and some of our old favs.
Yellow Fever and Ill Anatomy have been on a few bills of ours now, and they deliver a killer show each time we see them.
Had a great time playing some events sponsored by the Greater Partnership of Sandusky... awesome sets from the Huron Market and Sunset Celebration!
And FINALLY...
Breakdown was mixed and released! Went up on spotify and has performed pretty decent since it's drop.
I'm not entirely thrilled with how it sounds on every system I've heard it on, but I think that's a mastering problem...
??
If anyone sees this and has happened to mix/master a whole bunch of records, hit me up.
Butch Vig, I'm looking at you.
Other than that, I'm excited still for what's to come.
Akron this week, Wooster the next, Cleveland to round out the summer before Marching Band steals my brother for 3 months.
Hopefully I'll write more before then.
